If you love discovering new films created by emerging filmmakers, stay in one of our Palm Springs vacation rentals and make sure to attend the Palm Springs International ShortFest. Now in its 23rd year, over one hundred of the short films accepted into ShortFest in the past have received Oscar nominations or awards.

ShortFest screenings are grouped by theme with 4 to 10 short films in each 90-minute screening, making it easy for you to select the types of films you want to see. And to make the films even more meaningful, each program is followed by a Q&A with filmmakers.

Over 4,200 film submissions are sent to ShortFest from all around the world, but only about 325 films are chosen for this highly competitive festival. Not only is ShortFest a fascinating source of unconventional films for its 22,000 filmgoers, it also offers master classes, panels and roundtable discussions for new filmmakers in its ShortFest Forum.
