This festival is free to the public and celebrates the colorful transformation of the Coachella Valley each spring as gorgeous wildflowers bloom all over the region. The Wildflower Festival is held at the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center in Palm Desert, and there will be plenty of delightful things to do there (besides gaze at the all the lovely blooms, of course)!
You can enjoy wildflower trails and interpretive hikes, beautiful works by local artists, a 5k fun run, raffles, and more! Sit back and listen to live music in the beer and wine garden, and have a tasty treat (or two!) from one of the local food vendors. There's plenty of fun to be had for the kids as well, including a Kids' Zone with activities and crafts as well as a sand play area!
This annual tradition is sponsored by the Friends of the Desert Mountains, a nonprofit organization focused on protecting the conservation lands of the Coachella Valley. With the support of the community and their partners, the Friends of the Desert Mountains have been able to protect over 50,000 acres of conservation land. So come on out, learn about the incredible natural resources of the Coachella Valley, and watch the desert spring to life before your eyes!
Note on parking:
There will be no onsite parking at the event. Shuttles will run from St. Margaret's Church on Highway 74, where there will be free parking for all patrons.
