About Palm Springs

Welcome to Palm Springs!

Palm Tree

A Few Miles from Los Angeles…and Miles Away from the Hustle/Bustle

Our city is located on the western edge of the Coachella Valley (yes, that Coachella Valley is made famous by its musical festival). At 487 feet above sea level, we are surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains on the south and the San Jacinto Mountains to the west.

We are just 110 miles southeast of Los Angeles, 140 miles northeast of San Diego, 268 miles from Phoenix, and miles away from that hustle/bustle mentality.

A Sunny Climate With Very Little Rain

Palm Springs offers 350 days of sunshine with less than 5 inches of rain annually! Our dry heat with low humidity makes it an oasis of enjoyable weather.

Temperatures dip when the sun goes down, so sweaters and sweatshirts are recommended. See our helpful Packing Guide for Palm Springs.
